Hear their cry! See them Thrive!
Enhancing worth and dignity, one woman at a time!
We are uplifting and empowering women and young girls in rural villages in sub-Saharan Africa.
Generosity Global is uplifting and empowering women and young girls. Due to water scarcity, women in rural villages in sub-Saharan Africa start their days very early. They leave to fetch water from water points many miles away. This hour-long journey is strenuous and time-consuming. Through this journey, women endure aches and pains from carrying heavy water buckets containing dirty water that makes their loved ones sick. Additionally, there is little or no time for these women to take care of their families. Because clean water is scarce in remote areas in Africa, Generosity Global strives to provide local access to clean drinking water to improve people’s health, hygiene, sanitation, and mental health. Also, we aim to provide women with essential resources to manage their menstrual cycle adequately.
The Menstruation Crisis and lack of Clean Water
Women and young girls rely on leaves, dirty rags, or sitting on cardboard boxes during their period. They are ashamed, teased, and ostracized by their peers because they lack the basic resources to manage their menstrual cycle. That’s why we created the ‘Generosity Women’s program. We aim to uplift females by improving their hygiene and helping them manage their menstrual cycle. Through this program, their self-worth is increased and their dignity restored. We aim to help them build a sustainable life for each other by helping them teach the new generations the ropes. Generosity Women and its women’s center will provide a safe haven for women where they can gather and teach others how to make reusable pads. The center will be located near a Generosity Global water point.
Additionally, Generosity Global’s mission is to provide access to clean water and resources for better hygiene. Furthermore, the Generosity Women’s program will improve women’s mental health, and educate them about their reproductive system. Adequate hygiene will ensure a better standard of living for future generations.
Help us uplift women in rural Africa by providing them with the necessary resources to thrive and sustain themselves.
