We are a non profit organization based in Columbia, MD. Our mission is to use the power of generosity to improve lives by giving access to food, showers and clean water. We focus on providing food and showers to the homeless in America and in Africa, we bring clean drinking water to people in rural communities. We are a fun bunch and belief in creating real impact and change lives for our team members and the people we serve. Everything we do is purpose driven and is EPIC
• Help grow GG as a strong and unique brand with a consistent voice across-platforms (e.g. web, audio, video) by shooting impactful and storytelling images of the need in the community and the impact Generosity Global and its village is having on people who are underprivileged.
• You think strategically about how each photograph will work to tell a story without using many or any words.
• Pushing boundaries. We’re not here to show people videos of homeless persons using our shower truck or some kid drinking dirty water.
• Bring new ideas and passion. You’ll work with the founder and other team members of our creative department. We want you to put your vision into this while maintaining a cohesive brand.
• Bring our mission, story and impact to life by capturing real life moments for each story.
• College student with a background or interest in Photography, Videography, lighting, image editing and/or other relevant fields
• Rockstar multi-tasker that can prioritize
• Innovative, strategic, and analytical thinker
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to secure own transportation to and from assignments
• Ability to be on time for events and meet deadlines
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Critical and creative thinker with a desire to think outside the box
• Enthusiastic, driven, proactive, and willing to bring new ideas to the table
• Outgoing personality and communication skills are a must
• Has a passion for mission-driven causes
• Must be available to commit 15-20 hours each week, some weekend days required for events
• Works with and assists graphic designer/motion graphic artist, and communications manager
• Generate images that can tell a story
• Edit images for optimal look in image editing software (Adobe Photoshop, etc.)
• Perform quick turnaround and editing of photos for prompt dissemination on social media and other digital platforms
• Work closely with Graphic artist and Communications Manager to determine best practices and desired results
• Work closely with Social Media Manager on event photography schedule & needs
• Ability to take initiative, show good judgment, and manage projects from beginning to end
• Communicate professionally over the phone and email with team members of other departments
• Flexibility to work select special events and screenings outside regular office hours, when needed
• Provide own DSLR equipment
• Have a thorough understanding of the inner-workings of a hyper-focused, mission-driven non-profit organization
• Being part of something bigger than yourself, impacting lives locally and globally
